ANTIFA-Demo gegen den europaweiten Nazi-Aufmarsch

We are forced to take to the streets yet another year to express our discontent. Our protest cannot have a positive version for we find nothing constructive, nothing progressive, nothing "European" in the attempts to create a new "Bulgarian" historical memory, imbued with the images and history of specific anti-humanitarian ideas and actions.
Whatever the supporters of Lukov march may claim, their initiative is not a celebration of a single historical figure, whoever that might be. Their march embraces the nazi idea, shared by a group of "patriots" - Lukov, Minev, Filov, etc. - and promotes tham as "normal" and even necessary. Lukov march is just the celebratory face of the frightening act of reconstruction of the national historical memory as part of the rise of neonazism.

WE CANNOT BE INDIFFERENT!

The authorities, as we've all seen and known, have been encouraging this both actively - through the speeches and positions of politicians like Angel Dzhambazky (MEP) and passively - through their silence. They also back them through idleness (at best) regarding a series of cases, which, unfortunately, we've come to view as part of the everyday reality:
- like the clashes in Orladovtsi and Garmen (http://www.novinite.com/articles/169236/20+Arrested+in+Anti-Roma+Protest+in+Sofia's+Orlandovtsi;
http://www.novinite.com/articles/168759/Ethnic+Clashes+Raise+Turmoil+in+Bulgaria's+Village+of+Garmen);
- like the attack on 67-year-old Krasimir Ivanov and his grandchildren in Borisova garden by an organized nazi group, who was cleaning the park from "unwanted individuals";
- like the beating of 3-year-old Hristo by his babysitters;
- like the murder of the unarmed Afghan migrant Zayaulah Vafa, classified by the authorities as a "shooting", and his death announced as being the result of a
ricochet. We have no doubts that the organizers of Lukov march were happy to hear that an innocent man was killed (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/16/afghan-refugee-shot-dead-police-turkey-enter-bulgaria);
- like the attack on the journalist Olya Al-Ahmed in the capital's public transport...
...as well as many other acts of violence and hate crimes we don't know about.

It's time to admit that the threat to our society is not external - it doesn't come from any great power or from foreign cultures. The real threat lies in attitude towards and leading to such violent acts created and supported by the government. To stand against Lukov march is more than just a refusal to acknowledge the memory of the openly nazi figures from our past. To stand against Lukov march says one thing clearly and emphatically:

Let's altogether say: "NO TO THE HATEFUL STREET PARADES!"

So that the street parade does not invade our homes...
